Highlights, Shadows, Whites & Blacks

Which slider does which?

Lightroom is full of sliders that have the potential to transform your photographs.

In the Basic Panel on the Develop Module there are four such sliders… Highlights, Shadows, Whites and Blacks.

People often get confused when they look at these sliders because, on the face of it, surely Highlights are the same as Whites and Shadows are the same as Blacks? What is the difference?

In this short Lightroom tutorial I will show you how I use these sliders to bring out the best from my own images.
